- 6500 Square feet of bar restaurant
A former car showroom and workshops on a half acre site in the centre of Sheffield overlooking Devonshire Green.
Purchased off-market purchase from West Riding Graphics, a scheme was created in conjunction with Axis Architects and DLP planning consultants comprising of en-suite cluster units with between five and seven individual bedrooms in each unit, with shared communal kitchen and living space for each apartment.
At the time the large scale private student accommodation model was new and not fully accepted as a viable model for institutional investment. Therefore the scheme was designed so that the units could be able to be converted into traditional rented sector apartments if the market for students didn’t develop as anticipated.
Potential purchasers were identified and after a series of parallel negotiations the development was developed in partnership with Rotch Property Group and subsequently forward sold to the Unite Group before completion. The development is now known as Devonshire Courtyard.
